Device Groups

A device group is a combination of devices forming a “virtual” device that has an operational meaning - such as a production line, something that belongs to a specific business/cost unit, etc. In PowerRadar, you can create and edit device groups for any site, in order to later view the current/power/energy consumption by those groups.

Device groups can be created and edited from the Tree View for any application that enables view by device groups (Time View/Heatmap/Device Analyzer). You can reach the Energy Consumption apps by going into the site you want to view, and then clicking the Energy tab at the top of the screen.

After device groups have been formed, you should be able to view the total measured power and energy for each device group in the Time View application and in any other Energy application.

In addition a few of the predefined report modules offer breakdown by device groups.
