Overview

TimeView has a built-in export shortcut. When you have devices selected and a time range set, you can export that data to a CSV without leaving the chart. The export is pre-populated from whatever you're looking at on screen - entity selection, measurement type, and date range are all carried over automatically.

Under the hood, this creates a Manual Export job. You track and download the file from Manual Export in My Tools.

Note: This shortcut is available for Optimize accounts. If you click the export button and land directly on the Manual Export page instead, your account uses the manual flow - see Manual Export for steps.

Steps

In TimeView, select the devices, categories, or meters you want to export from the tree on the left.

Click the download icon (↓) in the top-right toolbar.

The Create Exports modal opens. It shows one export card per entity group (Sites, Devices, Meters), pre-filled with:

  • Export name
  • Number of entities included
  • Measurement type
  • Date range

Click Create on an individual card, or Create All to queue everything at once. PowerRadar processes the exports in the background.

If you need to adjust the time range, resolution, or device selection before exporting, click Open manual export to go to the full Manual Export form instead.

What Happens Next

Your exports appear in Manual Export under My tools in the navigation bar. Once an export shows Ready, click the inline Download button to save the CSV.

Note: Completed files are available for 48 hours, then permanently deleted. Download before the window closes. Failed exports can be retried from the same table.

For details on how data resolution is calculated, how temperature data is handled, and what entity types are excluded, see Manual Export.
