What It Shows

What is it?

The Site Alerts widget shows a count of active alerts for your site, for a time range you choose - so you can see at a glance whether anything needs attention without leaving your dashboard.

Why use it?

  • Spot active alerts immediately, without opening the Alerts page.
  • Choose how far back the count looks - the last day, week, or month.

Adding This Widget

In the Add widget picker, this widget's card is labeled "Open alerts" ("Stay informed with a count of active notifications for immediate attention") - once added, both the widget's on-dashboard title and its entry in the side navigation read "Site Alerts." For the full two-step add flow and the box-cap counter, see Adding Widgets to Your Dashboard - and Sharing It.

Settings

Configure this in the Site Alerts preferences window - Step 2 of adding the widget. It has a single setting:

Time range

Choose Last 24 hours, Last 7 days, or Last 30 days. The widget recalculates the active alert count for whichever period you pick.

Note: The Live data preview on the right updates as you change the time range, so you can see the effect before adding the widget to your dashboard.

Reading the Widget

Once placed on your dashboard, the widget shows the count of active alerts for the selected time range.
