What It Shows

What is it?

The Weather widget shows the latest weather snapshot for your site's location - temperature, wind, precipitation, and more - so you can spot weather-driven consumption swings without leaving your dashboard.

Why use it?

• Correlate a spike or dip in consumption with the weather at the time.
• Choose exactly which details matter to you, from a simple temperature-and-wind view to a full conditions breakdown.
• Keep an eye on sunrise/sunset if daylight hours matter for your site's operations.

Adding This Widget

In the Add widget picker, this widget's card is labeled "Weather" ("View latest site weather conditions"). For the full two-step add flow and the box-cap counter, see Adding Widgets to Your Dashboard - and Sharing It. 

Settings

Configure these in the Weather preferences window - Step 2 of adding the widget:

Temperature

Two sub-toggles, both on by default:

• Feels like - shows the "feels like" temperature alongside the actual reading.
• High and Low - shows the day's high and low temperatures.

Wind

A toggle, on by default, adding Wind and Gusts tiles (speed and direction).

Precipitation

A toggle, on by default, adding Rain and Snow tiles together (each showing the amount in the last hour).

Conditions

Four independent sub-toggles, all off by default:

• Visibility
• Cloudiness
• Humidity
• Pressure

Sunrise and Sunset

A toggle, off by default, adding Sunrise and Sunset time tiles.

Note: The Live data preview on the right updates as you turn fields on - each addition appears as a new tile, so you can build up exactly the level of detail you want before adding the widget to your dashboard.

Reading the Widget

Once placed on your dashboard, the widget shows:

• Your site's address at the top.
• A large current temperature reading with a weather icon and condition text (for example "Overcast Clouds"), plus Feels like and the day's High/Low, if those are on.
• A row of tiles for whichever optional fields you've enabled - Wind and Gusts (default on), Rain and Snow (default on), and - if you've turned them on - Visibility, Cloudiness, Humidity, Pressure, Sunrise, and Sunset.
• An "Updated [X] ago" timestamp at the bottom, showing how fresh the data is.

Things to Know

• Rain and Snow come as a pair. There's a single Precipitation toggle for both - you can't show one without the other.
• The Conditions group starts empty. Visibility, Cloudiness, Humidity, and Pressure are all off by default - Wind and Precipitation are the only extras on by default alongside Temperature.
