What Is the Weather Panel? How to Open It What It Shows Temperature Units Related Articles

What Is the Weather Panel?

The weather panel shows real-time weather conditions at the site's location. It is a quick reference - separate from the outside temperature overlay you can add to the chart - so you can check current conditions without leaving TimeView.

Note: The weather panel requires the Optimize package.

How to Open It

Click the weather chip in the top-right toolbar. The chip shows the current temperature and a weather icon at all times. Clicking it opens the weather panel as a floating panel over the chart. Click × to close it.

What It Shows

The panel is organized into four areas:

Header

The current temperature (large), weather condition description (e.g., Clear Sky, Overcast Clouds), feels-like temperature, and the day's high and low.

Wind

Wind speed with a directional chip showing the cardinal direction (e.g., ← W for westerly wind), and gust speed.

Conditions

Four metrics displayed in a 2×2 grid:

Metric What it means
Visibility How far you can see, in km or mi
Cloudiness Percentage of sky covered by cloud
Humidity Relative humidity percentage
Pressure Atmospheric pressure in hPa

Footer

Today's Sunrise and Sunset times (in the site's local timezone), a last-updated timestamp (e.g., Updated an hour ago), and the site's configured address.

Temperature Units

The panel uses the unit set in your Personal Preferences - either °F or °C. To change it, click your avatar in the top-right corner, select Personal Preferences, and update the Temperature Units dropdown. Click Save Preferences to apply. The weather panel reflects the change immediately.

The weather data refreshes automatically approximately every 10 minutes. The footer shows when it was last updated.
